Letter From The Pro

Hi everyone,

The season has officially started. Member’s Opening Day Tournament is in the books. Thanks to those who showed up yesterday and played. In total, we had 142 players in the event. Special congrats to Mike Carignan who aced the 17th hole yesterday. Mike was in the hole-in-one pool and with the hole in one received the $720 pot. So….you know what that means. If you want back into the pool, it’s $5, you can get back in next time you are in the golf shop. Congrats again Mike!

First One-Day Member-Guest of the season is scheduled for next Tuesday, May 15th. Currently only have three groups signed up. If you have any interest, please sign up. Always a great event. $60pp entry fee includes, tee prize, golf, cart, food, golf prizes and door prizes. Shotgun start at 1pm next Tuesday.

Ryder Cup is our first major of the season and is scheduled for July 6th and July 7th. That is two months away. Sign-ups for the event will go live 6 weeks prior to event start date. This means that the early bird registration for the event will go live on Friday, May 25th at 9am. This registration period is for anyone that participated in the event last year and is in good standing for registration (has not been suspended due to violating back-out/no-show policies for prior events). On Saturday, May 26th at 9am, registration will go live for everyone. We will be registering the first 128 individuals. This event is a Member-Guest or Member-Member, your choice, two person teams. If you are signing up as a single, we will do our best to pair you up, but twosomes that sign up will have priority. Cost for the event is $175pp (this is a $25 increase from previous years). Reminder that in order to secure registration, you must pay for the event and submit uniform size (short size and shirt size). If anyone has any questions, let me know. I will send a reminder email to everyone as registration open date approaches.

No outside events this week, so the course is not closed during any non typical time periods.

Women’s League starts this evening. 4:45 start, we will be doing an hour on course going over rules and format and then breaking into groups to play a few holes. First official league week will be next week. I will have schedules and league rosters to distribute tonight. It will also be posted on the board in the hall and on the website this week. Any questions, let me know.

That is all for today,

Thanks and have a great day!

Regards,

Derick
